RUGIPO HND admission form for
2015/2016 session is now out. Candidates that wish to apply for the Higher
National Diploma programme at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Ondo are hereby informed.
The management of Rufus Giwa
Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo state hereby invites applications from qualified
candidates into the HND programme of the polytechnic for the 2015/2016 academic
session. Interested applicants are to check the available programmes on offer
for HND as well as their requirements per course below.
Candidates for the Higher
National Diploma Programmes must possess ND Certificates from Rufus Giwa
Polytechnic, Owo or from any other Polytechnic recognized by the Rufus Giwa
Polytechnic, Owo obtained at the Distinction or credit Level plus one year
post-ND Qualification Working Experience. Candidates must also possess
four O’ Level Credit Passes in relevant subjects. Candidates with pass at the ND level will
require two years industrial attachment.

Candidates must possess National Diploma in any of the
following: Agricultural Technology, Forestry Technology, Animal Health &
Production Technology, Horticultural Technology and Science Laboratory
Technology. Also, the minimum entry requirements for ND programme in
Agricultural related courses.
(a) Candidates must possess four credit passes in
Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural
Science, Chemistry and any of Economics, Geography, Statistics and Technical
Drawing. A pass in English Language is accepted.
(b) Candidates must also possess the minimum
of a Lower Credit in any of the following Agricultural programmes:
i) Agricultural Technology
ii) Forestry Technology
iii) Horticultural Technology
iv) Animal Health & Production
Technology
v) Fisheries and
Aquaculture, and
vi) Science Laboratory Technology.
Candidates must possess National Diploma in any of the
following: Agricultural Technology, Forestry Technology and Horticultural
Technology. In addition, five O’level credit pass in Mathematics,
Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and two of the following subjects –
Technical Drawing, Economics, Geography, Statistics and Further Mathematics.
The Department accepts a pass in English Language.
Candidates must possess the minimum of lower credit in one
of the following courses: ND Computer Science, ND Computer Engineering,
ND Mathematics and Statistics.
For a to e:
Candidates must possess at least Lower Credit at the ND
Level with four Credit passes at
WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE O’L/ NABTEB obtained at not more than
two sittings in relevant subjects. Candidates with pass at the ND Level
will require two years industrial attachment.
O’level credit in Mathematics is compulsory for admission
into OTM HND programme.
Note: Candidates with ND in Business Studies, Business
Administration and Management (BAM), Purchasing and Supply, Public
Administration, Insurance, Banking and Finance (BFN), from NBTE accredited
institutions can be admitted into HND Marketing.
For a – e:
Candidates must possess a minimum of Lower credit at the
ND level plus four Credit passes at WASC/SSCE /NECO/ GCE O’L/NABTEB obtained
at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects. Candidates with
pass at the ND level will require two years industrial attachment.
Candidates with ND in Computer Technology can also be
admitted into Computer Engineering.
For a to f:
Candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit at the
ND Level plus four Credit passes at WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE O/Level, NABTEB
Obtained at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects. Candidates
with pass at the ND level will require two years industrial attachment.
Candidates with ND in Building Technology may be considered for admission
into HND Quantity Surveying.

Method of Application
Application forms are obtainable
online at www.rugipo.edu.ng through the purchase of scratch card on the payment
of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N10,500.00) only
the scratch cards for are to be
obtainable at the under-listed banks:
i) First Bank Plc (Owo and
Alagbaka-Akure Branches);
ii) Wema Bank Plc, Owo
iii) Skye Bank Plc, Owo
iv) Enterprise Bank, Owo.
Similarly, the scratch cards are
also available in Post Offices in Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo, Edo States, Abuja,
Port-Harcourt and Higher Institution Consultancy Centre (HICC) Office, beside
the Directorate of Academic Affairs of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.
