Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, disclaimer notice as regards
collaboration with another Polytechnic to offer admission to some
prospective candidates.
Authorities of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede Owerri, released a
press release to inform all prospective candidates of the institution
their attention have been drawn to statements and text messages issued
by certain persons to the effect that federal polytechnic, Nekede Owerri
is working in collaboration with another Polytechnic to offer admission
to some prospective candidates.
Reference is particularly made to a text message purportedly issued
by one Praxis Institute of Entrepreneurs and Administrators, Uli, in
Anambra State, which claimed that the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede
forwarded the name of one Amaechi Rosita to the so called Institute in
Uli for admission, for the year 2014/2015.
We want to state categorically that the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede
Owerri is not working in collaboration with any institution whatsoever,
be it Polytechnic, Monotechnic or University for the purposes of
offering admissions to students or group of students for academic
studies. The information that the polytechnic is collaborating with the
Institute of Entrepreneurs and Administrators Uli, Anambra in this
direction is highly misleading, false and malicious. It is undoubtedly, a
calculated attempt to damage the reputation of our great Polytechnic.
Let it be explicitly known by the Prospective Students and Members of
the Public that Federal Polytechnic, Nekede Owerri, strictly adheres to
due process in its admission procedure. In other words, students are
admitted through Joint Matriculation Examinations organized by the Joint
Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the UTME.
While dissociating the Polytechnic totally from any form of
collaboration with such Institutions, Members of the Public are advised
to be extremely careful of publication linking the Federal Polytechnic,
Nekede Owerri with admission issues in order not to dupe and exploit
unsuspecting individuals and groups.
